Getting Rid of Stretch Marks - Part One
It seems to me that stretch marks are caused by some kind of hormone activity and not solely through rapid weight gain and loss. Did you know that you don't have to be pregnant or fat in order to get these hateful scars? As a matter of fact, it is a very common skin condition, but most people who have them are embarrassed by them and try to hide them.
The stretch marks that are directly related hormone activity mostly happen during:
• Pregnancy
• General growth for adolescent boys and girls
• Rapid weight gain/loss
• Depression or extreme unhappiness (believe it or not)
• Long term lacking of certain vitamins and nutrients
• Sudden change in physical or environmental conditions.
Certain medications may cause stretch marks as well such as using steroids or hormonal medications.
Diet plays a large part in getting rid of stretch marks. When it comes to your diet, it should be plain as to what should be done to combat skin issues like stretch marks. First of all, you will need to eat balanced meals that follow along with the food guide’s recommendations as according to your own health needs.
We all know that certain vitamins are great for your skin such as vitamin E; however it never seems to occur to most people that you can get it from food and not just lotions and creams. What you should be thinking is vitamins + skin = nutrition/foods etc.
Most people think that stretch marks are completely incurable. To be sure, they are very difficult to get rid of, but they don’t have to be.
In another post we'll continue this discussion and get into the specifics of how to get rid of stretch marks.
